JOB SUMMARY
SLONEC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Auditor to support its audit team in conducting financial and operational audits across various client engagements. The successful candidate will assist in reviewing financial records, assessing risks, verifying compliance with regulations, and preparing audit documentation. This role offers hands-on exposure to professional auditing practices, providing valuable experience under the guidance of senior auditors and management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial and Operational Audits

Assist in conducting audits of procurement transactions, contracts, and financial records.

Support the evaluation of financial systems for compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.

Verify documentation and reconcile financial data to identify inconsistencies or errors.
Risk Assessment and Management

Assist in identifying potential financial and operational risks during audit reviews.

Contribute to the development and documentation of risk mitigation strategies.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

Ensure that financial transactions comply with internal policies, statutory regulations, and professional standards.

Support in verifying the accuracy and completeness of procurement-related financial reports.
Audit Reporting

Assist in preparing detailed audit working papers and reports.

Present findings to senior auditors and support discussions with management on audit outcomes.
Process Improvement and Internal Controls

Recommend minor improvements to internal controls and financial processes.

Assist in monitoring and implementing approved audit recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with procurement, finance, and administrative teams to collect and review audit data.

Support collaboration between departments to promote transparency and accountability.
Marketing and Sales Support

Contribute to SLONEC’s corporate marketing and branding initiatives.

Support business development activities related to audit and assurance services.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-
Progress toward a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or CIA) preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a related field.

Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare audit documentation.

Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment will be an advantage.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Basic understanding of financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS).

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively under supervision and meet tight deadlines.
