SLONEC is pleased to announce that its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Ishmael Bangura, represented the organisation at the Afreximbank Annual Meetings (AAM) 2024, held in Nassau, The Bahamas, from 12th to 14th June 2024. The Afreximbank Annual Meetings is a flagship continental event that brings together African leaders, policymakers, financial institutions, development partners, and private sector actors to deliberate on strategies for Africa’s economic transformation. The 2024 meetings were held under the theme “Economic Prosperity on the Platform of Global Africa.”
As part of SLONEC’s commitment to regional integration, economic development, and thought leadership, the participation of our Founder and CEO provided a valuable opportunity to engage with key stakeholders from across Africa and the global African diaspora. The meetings served as an important platform for exchanging ideas, exploring strategic partnerships, and gaining insights into emerging trends shaping Africa’s financial and economic landscape.
In his capacity as Founder and CEO of SLONEC, Ishmael Bangura actively participated in group discussions, high-level sessions, and networking engagements. Drawing on his extensive experience in accountancy, consultancy, and financial advisory, he contributed to conversations focused on strengthening financial governance, enhancing institutional capacity, and promoting sustainable economic growth across African economies. During these engagements, he highlighted SLONEC’s innovative financial and advisory solutions and discussed how robust financial management frameworks can support private sector development, donor-funded initiatives, and long-term economic resilience.
He also shared practical consultancy models that promote sustainable development and effective service delivery, particularly within emerging and frontier markets. In addition, he provided insights into future trends in accountancy and consultancy, including the increasing importance of digital transformation, compliance-driven advisory services, and the growing role of professional services firms in supporting Africa’s economic prosperity within the Global Africa framework.
