SLONEC SLONEC Advisory Group
SLONEC Advisory Group is SLONEC’s UK parent company. It serves clients outside Africa, in the UK, Europe, the US and beyond: businesses, investors and the diaspora doing business with Africa, and African businesses expanding abroad. It owns SLONEC Group Africa, which runs our businesses on the continent.
SLONEC started in Freetown in April 2023 as an accountancy and consultancy firm for Sierra Leone and beyond. SLONEC Advisory Group was set up in London to serve clients outside Africa, and African clients who want to grow beyond it.
We work with two kinds of client. The first are businesses, investors, NGOs and members of the diaspora in the UK, Europe, the US and beyond who want to set up, invest or work in Africa. The second are African businesses and investors who want to establish themselves in the UK. Both need the same thing: one accountable partner who understands each side and can get the practical work done.

SLONEC is one brand with two groups. SLONEC Advisory Group, from London, looks after clients outside Africa. SLONEC Group Africa, which it owns, runs SLONEC Accountancy, SLONEC Consultancy and SLONEC Recruitment & Training in Freetown. When a client of one group needs work done in the other’s territory, the two teams work as one, under the same leadership and the same standards, so the client never has to manage the hand-over.

We are an accountancy-led firm, so we stay with clients after the set-up: the books, payroll and filings that keep a new entity in good standing are what we do every day. In Sierra Leone the in-country work is done by our own team at 1 Hannah Benka-Coker Street in Freetown, not by a partner we have never met.
Every engagement is led by Ishmael Bangura, SLONEC’s founder, who scopes the work, agrees the fee in writing and signs off the advice. Where a matter is regulated, such as immigration or investment advice, we introduce properly authorised partner firms and coordinate them, so you keep one point of contact.

Yes. Diaspora Gateway is for Africans in the UK who want to build or invest back home. We help with the plan, company and tax registration, bank accounts and permits, then the accounts and payroll once the business is running, with the work in Sierra Leone done by our Freetown team.
