Recruitment that starts with your brief

Good recruitment starts with understanding the job and the organisation. Before we look for anyone, we agree the brief with you: the skills and experience the role needs, how it fits your team and what the person will be expected to deliver.

We then find and screen candidates and give you a shortlist of people worth interviewing, with notes on each one. You make the final decision.

What you receive

  • An agreed brief: skills, experience, salary range and what the person must deliver
  • Advertising and sourcing, through our networks and the channels that fit the role
  • Screening and short interviews before anyone reaches you
  • A shortlist with notes on each candidate
  • Reference checks and support through the offer
  • Help getting the new hire onto payroll, PAYE and NASSIT

Employing people properly in Sierra Leone

Hiring in Sierra Leone means more than choosing the right candidate. Employees need a written contract, deductions for PAYE and NASSIT, and terms that meet the Employment Act 2023. Foreign companies and short-term projects also have to decide whether to employ people directly or through an outsourced arrangement, and expatriate staff need work permits from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

We handle the search and shortlist, and because SLONEC also runs payroll, tax and HR compliance work, we can help the new hire get on payroll and registered properly. For projects that cannot employ people directly yet, we offer outsourced staffing and employer of record support.
